Response to errors found in the GCSE Mathematics for OCR Higher Homework Book
Rodrick Smith, Managing Director, Global Education at Cambridge University Press said:
“We thank The One Show for alerting us to mistakes found in the online answer book of the GCSE Mathematics for OCR Higher Homework Book. We looked into this immediately and acknowledge that there were some errors. We undertake rigorous quality assurance, involving independent expert fact checkers, but are very sorry that on this occasion these mistakes weren’t spotted before online publication. We would like to apologise to the teachers, students and parents affected, and to reassure all of our customers that the mistakes have now been corrected on the online answer book which teachers have access to. As a matter of urgency we will be looking at whether we can make further improvements to our quality assurance process and will continue to work closely with the examining board through their endorsement process to ensure that we meet their exacting standards.”
