Cambridge University Press forms new partnership to improve student progress assessment in schools

Cambridge University Press has partnered with Classroom Monitor, creators of the market leading pupil tracker, to develop a new online tracking and assessment platform.

The new platform - Cambridge Progress Tracker - enables teachers to assess, record and report student progress against the Cambridge International primary curriculum frameworks.

Rod Smith, Managing Director of Education at the Press, said:  ’We often hear from teachers that assessing student progress can be challenging and time consuming. This partnership helps us meet this need, providing a consistent and easy platform for teachers to assess and manage student progress. We’re delighted to work with Classroom Monitor to strengthen the range of support we offer to schools.’

With Cambridge Progress Tracker schools can show how pupils are progressing against objectives linked to the Cambridge International curriculum. Suggested activities for assessment save on teachers’ preparation time, and clear guidance on what to look for at each level gives schools confidence teacher assessments are being carried out consistently.

The data gathered can be used to inform lesson planning, identify areas for revision and develop personalised learning journeys for students. A range of reports can be quickly and easily shared with school leadership, parents and external assessors and accreditors.
