Online Training for Cambridge courses

Online Training Modules

Are you using a Cambridge course for the first time? Are you new to blended learning, online teaching, or to the Cambridge Learning Management System (CLMS)? Our Online Training modules are here to help. The modules

  • help you explore and become familiar with the CLMS

  • make sure you use your course to its maximum effect

  • ensure your learners reach their full potential

  • help you get your blended teaching off to a confident start

All modules are delivered through the CLMS, take 1 – 2 hours to work through and give you a Cambridge certificate of completion. You can work through them in self-study mode whenever it suits you or work through them as part of a cohort – for example with the other teachers in your institution so you can exchange ideas as you go along. If one of you would like to act as an e-moderator for the course all modules contain e-moderator notes and guidelines. Take as many modules as you like, all free of charge as a Cambridge customer!

Using the modules

To use one or more of the modules please follow these steps.

To use the modules in self-study mode:

  • Request an Activation Code from your sales representative.

  • Go to www.cambridgelms.org/main in order to register or log into the LMS

  • Once you are logged into the LMS select Activate a Product, enter the Activation Code and you will be given access to your module.

To use the modules in class-mode with other teachers and a tutor:

  • If your institution has a Client Administrator, ask them to set up a class for you for the relevant module. Ask your Client Administrator to add you to the class as a Student or ask your Client Administrator for the Class Code

  • Request an Activation Code from your sales representative.

  • Log into the LMS, select Activate a Product, and enter the Activation Code

  • If necessary select Join a Class and enter the Class Code in order to join the class

  • If you do not have a Client Administrator, register in the LMS as an Individual Teacher at www.cambridgelms.org/main

  • Once you have registered choose Create a Class in the LMS. From the Course drop-down menu choose the relevant module and a class will be set up for you, with you in it as a teacher of that class. For more help see the help video called Creating Classes

  • If you are acting as an e-moderator for other teachers in your institution, add them to the class you have just created as students. If they have already registered in the LMS you can add them using their usernames; alternatively you can register them in the LMS and add them to the class yourself. For help with this see the video called Managing Users

  • Request Activation Codes for your teachers from your local sales representative and distribute these to your teachers. Once logged into the LMS they should click on Activate Product and enter their Activation Codes.

For more details on the modules or to discuss more in-depth customised training please contact your local Cambridge representative.
